Poetry
Always
By tonya
23 May 2006
Another tentative poemish attempt.

Wakefulness slips
away
- at times
most needed and my
eyes drift inward
to that distant place;
where dark water runs
beside me
- always.

I follow
The unseen path
Into fog and mist;
Into the endless world
where I most truly
belong;
And dark water flows
beside me
- always

I'm not really a poet so I honestly can't comment on the format, thought it look like a poem but the content struck a chord with me I took it as that moment when we give ourselves up to sleep. When I was younger it some times was quite a scary moment. it was somehow dangerous and also welcoming and seductive .I hope that is what you meant.Anyway I enjoyed for it's own sake
cheers
