Jaws
By Tenchi

One of my end of a relationship rambles. Somehow being happy with a partner never quite motivates me toward writing.

Jaws

You never treated me right
But that’s what I liked
Wicked smile
Like a shark

You only promised friendship
Well where is it now?
Without understanding,
It’s nothing

I care a lot
But you don’t
And that’s just one of the differences
The other being I think
And you don’t

I’d fall at your feet but your laughter would kick me in the face
again

Hi Tenchi,

I really loved this poem. Very honest and cutting. Great title too. I have to say it's the first poem I've read on here in ages that I've loved enough to comment on.

Best wishes

Sara
