Where Am I?
By B.D.

This is about getting let down by a friend.

You say I can lean on you,

but when I'm falling

where are you?

You say I can talk to you,

but when I'm speaking

where are you?

You say I can cry on your shoulder,

but when my tears are falling

where are you?

You say I can unload on you,

but when i'm trying

where are you?

You say I can turn to you for help,

but when I'm dying

where are you?

You let me fall -

You let me cry -

You let me die -

and when you're reading this

where am I?

I think this is a good start.
I wonder what would happen if we somehow got a glimpse of the subject's personality? Is there any anger? Is there a wry sense of humor?
The voice this is written in is a bit passive, these are passionate questions, I'd love to see you tap into that.

Just some suggestions.
