Me and the Nanny State

We now live in the land of the Tax-Farmer.

What proportion of your Income gos in PAYE/VAT/Council Tax/Fines etc?

Me and the Nanny State,

Joined together by mutual hate.

Me and the Nanny State,

For which I pay and pay.

It seems to go with me

when I step out of line.

Every minor malfeasance,

Hit by a hefty fine

So

Me and the Nanny State,

Joined together by mutual hate.

Me and the Nanny State

I pray it'll go away.

I vowed I wasn't going to go into the poetry forum again but I'm glad I caught this one. A sad little rant because of course it won't ever go away One result of it is the police are now just a revenue collecting arm of the exchequer. Nottingham is the crime capital of England but as long as they get their quota of speeding motorists for Gordon the burglers and muggers do what they like.
don't talk about fines...

I must creep back to the Dock and copy my piece "Modern Policing Stategy".

Truth is stranger than fiction.

Noice to see Siddie in a more postive light,

As I was clamped last week at my own home, this rings a very loud tune of truth...

It won't go away, its just going to get worse and worse...
