Where Is It
By laya08

...

Can you feel the place that once existed in your mind?
Touch it, I dare you.
Think back, you cannot feel it , you cannot explain it.
However, you know its there.
The place that you created in your dreams
The place that you heard your own screams
Of course not
Lost in a matter of seconds
Evaporated in to the air we breathe
Becoming thoughts of things we shall remember
As if it was placed onto a wall, in a frame, in a picture
But then again
We ask for more
For it to return
But life throws it away
Lets our memories burn
Where is it?
We have no idea; we just know it's gone.
Why can't we remember,
Please, Llets go back to retrace
Taking it in,We embrace
Saying what we think and express it in passion
Listening and taking in deep concentration
We try to get it back , but yet we fall back to sleep
Knowing its there ,just waiting for us to see
Laying still and still with no sound
We just receive
We finally get it back,
But only within the things
We imagine and believe.

A beautiful piece
Written by mishmish (389 comments posted) 7th June 2006
Hi Lay08

This is beautiful. It speaks of the power of dreams, and how we often want to return to that place, a place where anything can happen. But life crashes in and the dreams are lost.

I enjoyed this poem very much.

Well done

best wishes
