To a Floral Elf
By BrianRobertNeal
12 June 2006
This is a lyric that fits the tune entitled "To a Rose"

Tripping here, flitting there, whilst I can but hover.
Floating free, so gracefully, as she ebbs and flows.
Tripping here, flitting there, lovely as no other.
You can tell, I’m in her spell, as she surely knows.

I vowed I'd steer clear of poetry but I thought I'd be safe with one of yours. You do this sort of thing very well. It fits the tune with good words and a neatly expressed sentiment. Have you ever written any songs of your own or teamed up with a musician?

Thanks for your time and comments. I'd posted the wrong version, line three was a beat short and line 4 was a beat heavy. So added "So and removed "as".

"Have you ever written any songs of your own or teamed up with a musician?"-No.

I intend to expand this to a verse/bridge/verse/bridge/verse poem. But can't get the verses right.

I'm still out of proper computer contact,

Brian.

Thanks for your time and comment.

The last line was a beat heavy so I've cut the first "as" and it not only parses 12 beats but reads beter as well,

Brian
