Father's Day
By twriter
13 June 2006
This is a new piece especially written for the Lazy Writer's Topic of Childhood Memories but I suppose it would be better described as a poem about the relationship between Father and Son. All comments welcome!

Father’s Day

Once you were full of fun

but no-more

because you kicked me out the door.

You made me live upon the streets

with howling wolves and pointed feet.

What had I done to you?

Never making trouble

yet you placed me in the stew

and left the pot to bubble.

It would be nice on Father’s Day

to send a card wishing

‘Have a nice day!’

But I expect that is too much for you

As don’t forget there are birthdays too.

Well it seems that your Father doesn't like you. It is not true maybe but maybe you've done some mistake that your father did not/ its good to send your card on fathers day. maybe he can know or remember that you are his loving child. thats good.

I created the situation and the characters but did you enjoy the poem? What did you think of it?
