  1. Just an presentation given to the beauty of women. All ages and styles.

Her beauty is everywhere,it surrounds you
Like silver waters around a boat on a lake
Her face is a vision, her inviting sweet smile
The place of her tender softness and delight

All around her body moves ,like a gentle wind
Arms covered in lace ,hands like soft silk
Hair dark as the night, eyes like deep pools
The sight brings a rising of one's own body
,
Her magnificent beauty, showing all her wonder
She is like a sweet, scented, radiant rose of spring
Appearing in a garden of beauty,a pleasure unspoken
In a drifting aroma of scented summer rose petals

My desire is to hold her close, love her with a passion
For she is beauty, she is all things ,she is a woman.

....... I'll take the plunge, although I'm not an expert on poetry! :)

First off, I've always considered the sonnet-form to be ideal for love poems.

I'm not certain if "blank verse" is expected to have a regular rhythm? This seems to vary a bit, but perhaps that's just the way I'm reading it .... :roll

Are you deliberately trying to work in every cliché common to love poems? There seem to be a lot of "standard" phrases & imagery - perhaps not "quite" enough to be a gentle satire/humorous 'take', but perhaps just a little too much for comfort if it's meant to be read "at face value". Maybe an opportunity to test the theory "less is more"????

Just a few thoughts - you might be better off waiting for someone who is better qualified than me on poetry 8)
