Poetry
Friendship.
By Buchan

This poem is stressing the importance of friendship. Friends never hurt one another and are kind.

I cannot make the stars shine
Empty nights lost in sadness
The sun will not rise in sleep
Or communicate like the moon

A friend is like a second soul
Companion of love in thoughts
Habitation,within two warm bodies
Minds that meet,becoming as one

Frienship you are brightness on a dull day
A mixture of color and calm as rain falls
Sweet pictures ,like children laughing
Remembering time ,the warm sweet moment

Friend forever new and innocent young
Oak tree becoming the adult of life
Total sense of togetherness,in harmony
Happiness within time,called friendship.

More of a straightforward poem to read. Again, the rhythm seems to vary a bit but not excessively IMHO.

Rhythmically, do you "need" the word 'like' in v.2 (first line?) I think the rhythm fits better and it doesn't seem to alter the meaning - but maybe that's just me!

In v.4 you might want to amend it to read 'Friend s forever ...... ??

I am really enjoying your posts.
As Bags said there is a simplicity about this poem which makes it very accessable to read.
