HOME AGAIN!
By brook_rivers
16 June 2006

On the road home again,
Wonder what I'll see
On the road home again
Wonder what changes await me

Arrived at home, sweet, home again
My family warmly greet me
Arrived at home, sweet, home again
Now I am truely happy

Time goes by at home again
Forgotten how restless I could be
Time goes by at home again
I suddenly want to flee

Leaving it all behind again
A mixture of sadness and glee
Leaving it all behind again
No idea when I'll be back there
Not sure if I ever want to be.

Such a unique poem. Well expressed and written.Like life you write about the comings and goings. Very honest and thought provoking. Thank you for sharing your poem.

Hi brook

This is excellent! You've encapsulated that heady feeling of wanting to be home, that some how the 'wanting' and the 'travel to' home is so much more than actually being 'at home'.

That often, when you're at home, you pine to be somewhere else, because home is so claustrophic and you feel hemmed in.

But on leaving, you feel guilty, that you've moved on, as a person and home isn't what it was.

I feel exactly the same way when I go home...

This is brilliant...

Well done

best wishes
