A Story From My Childhood
By muriel.green

My father used to read this story to me when I was young I think. I know I have heard it somewhere anyway. I'll always remember being either moved to tears or just very moved, I'm not sure which.

Anyway, hope you enjoy it as much as I think I used to.

Muriel XX

Once upon a time there were three bears. They lived in a large forest, but one day decided to build themselves a new house each.

"I'm going to build mine from straw" said the first mouse. "I'll build mine from wood" said the mummy mouse. The Daddy mouse decided to build his from bricks.

One day, as Rapunzel was walking through the forest with her cow, which her mum had told her to take to sell at the market, she felt tired, and decided she needed a rest. All the little pigs were out playing, but Cindarella went in the straw house anyway. She looked around but decided it was too cold. Next she went to the wooden house, but that was too hot. Finally she went into the brick house, and decided it was just right, so she ate it all up.

Later, as the 7 dwarves returned to their houses, the baby dwarf was upset.

"Somebody's been inside my house!" he cried. "Somebody's been in my house too!" said the mummy dwarf. "And somebody's been in my house, and she's still here!" shouted the Daddy dwarf. Quickly, they chased Little Red Riding Hood from the house. Once she had out ran them, she realised she had forgotton her cow due to being absent minded, like most beautiful young women are. She decided to stop in to call on her granny, who also lived in the forest.

As she entered her grannies house, she noticed her granny had grown a long pointed face, and fangs. A small goblin sat in the corner, spinning straw into gold for her.

"Come and give me a kiss deary" said her granny.

"What big teeth you have granny" said Tinkerbell.

"All the better to see you with, my dear" her frail granny replied. With that there was a huge puff of smoke, and a genie popped out from the lamp at the side of the table. Alice plucked up the courage to speak to the genie.

"Genie, Genie; near the wall, who's the fairest of them all?"

The genie answered "Why you are my dear,".as he held out a frog. "I shall grant you three kisses." With that, sleeping beauty kissed the frog, and with another puff of smoke it turned into a handsome ogre!

"Come with me my dear, I shall take you to my castle at the top of the beanstalk and make you my queen." And he did, and they both lived happily ever after. In a land far away.

Hello murielitsum

im well mate, enjoying the old fussball, the weathers not been bad either. Ive been pissed quite often.

this is the kind of garbled dementia i like to see. Perhaps our estwine hero's antics could extend into the real world. I'm thinking Mr Magoo, but perhaps ultimatley much more brutal.

I'm sorry muriel, I was completely lost with the last few lines. Since when do Ogres have queens?

Otherwise, excellent.

I do like the way you mixed all the different fairytales up into on story but I got a bit confused with the the character changing (for example, how Rapunzel turn into Cindrella and Cinderella turn into Little Red Riding Hood).
