Seems a lot of things are left undone. Wish we could all just get it all completed. Nothing happens till you make it Cake not complete till you bake it Words like ice-cream melting away Nothing done on a warm summers day Lots seen ,little done, missing all the fun Acting on real words, following through Makes the world a much better place For little old me and sweet kind you. |
How nice! Written by Josie (2849 comments posted) 21st June 2006 | I loved your words, and they are so true. People are always ready to grumble, but if you set out to make the day "good", you can do it. And often making the day good starts with doing something good for others first. Note: warm summer's day. (apostrophe). Day of summer. ha ha. Read my poem about the apostrophe. | Enjoyed this Written by Leo (573 comments posted) 21st June 2006 | Its very true what you say. I guess too many of us wait for life to come to us. Thank you | Beautiful and true Written by mishmish (389 comments posted) 23rd June 2006 | Hi Buchan Really enjoyed reading this. You've captured the meaning of what it is to be alive. Always start the day on a positive note, keep good thought, pass through goodness...all that positiveness keeps negativity at bay. The lines: Acting on real words, following through Makes the world a much better place Identifies that often we are driven by false imperatives, that for a fleeting moment seem to mean the earth, but really mean nothing at all. Although short, this poem and its complexity of the issues that it addresses is very beautiful, true and very deep... really well done... best wishes mishmish | Written by rushwilde (24 comments posted) 6th June 2007 | | i like the way the poem is written, it gave it a sort of rhythm. very nice. |
