Who is this masked intruder
Tapping on my bedroom window
Before the crack of dawn
The masked feathered felon
Calling out forlorn
Singing merrily as he admires his own image

Where does he come from
Why does he constantly call
Tapping in flight about to fall
He is a unique sparrow
One of a feathered kind
I could let him in if the cats don't mind

Is he cold or is he lost
What will all the answers cost
Is he here for breakfast
Does he want to play
Whatever the reason I hope he's here to stay
