Love Affair with the Lotterry

This is a poem about my obsession with the lottery. Sad, I know!

I buy lottery tickets
But still I've not won.
I can't understand it,
Something's gone wrong.

I should have won by now,
It just isn't fair.
I so want to be
A millionaire.

I get so disappointed
Watching the draw.
I'll stop buying tickets.
Well, maybe one more!

tell me about it!!! the thing is they just keep bringing out more of them which means the amount ive paid out in tickets i probably would have a tidy sum set by! LOL!

Everyone says, and I agree, that money doesn't bring you happiness. (but perhaps you can feel miserable in comfort). You know for certain that you are a winner when you post your poems on Great Writing and get replies. ha ha. Keep writing.

My maths tutor says its about a 46 million to one chance of winning... so there is just a faint hope!!

Aren't we all...

Thanks for this super little poem that seems to encapsultate the reason, and the desperation we all feel on Saturday (and Wednesday and Friday....!).

Keep on buying the ticket and 'think' lucky...It does work!
