A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!!She didn't know when it had started, or even where! Maybe it was the Sunday school her mother had dragged her to every week! Or perhaps the services she attended at school!! Wherever it was, and whenever it was, she had to laugh about it!! Sin; what is it? Is sin to one person a way of life to another? Is what is classed as sin in one culture a normal function of another? She racked her brain. Adultury. wasn't that one of them? So is adultury still adultury when the man has several wives legally? Her brain hurt with the thought. She tried to remember the ice-cream advert where the seven deadly sins were portrayed. Wasn't gluttony one? In which case, shouldn't you not eat the ice-cream? Her brain sizzled and popped offline. She came to a conclusion, without the support of her brain; if they wanted her to write about the seven deadly sins she could!! So she wrote:- "The Seven Deadly Sins aren't deadly at all, because I've broken all of them and I'm still alive!!" She smiled, then her brain clicked in again. If she didn't know what the sins were, how did she know if she'd broken them all? With that thought she laughed aloud! She didn't need to know what they were. It was a safe bet that she'd broken them all!!|

You are quite right - the deadly sins are so normal and most everyone acknowledges that they do them, or most of them anyway, so somehow their guilt factor has been greatly reduced. | Written by Clifftown (619 comments posted) 27th June 2006 | | I enjoyed this too...I love the concept of the seven "deadly" sins not being deadly at all. Excellent! | Written by no1butClo (337 comments posted) 27th June 2006 | i like the piece but slightly disagree with the conclusion. Deadly sins are not always deadly to the sinner... | Good outlook Written by Leo (573 comments posted) 27th June 2006 | I reckon if you engage in any one of the aforementioned sins and it does result in your death, that mother natures way of saying you should have stopped about 5 minutes ago... neat little piece of writing.. Thanks!
