The Reading Book
By Buchan
29 June 2006
Are we all chasing different goals? Going in different directions?

Do we read the same book
Are we on the same page
                             Looking at the individual life
                             Understanding all stories
                             Confusion a media message
Politics a power of self interests
                             Churches a growing religionism
Life still a journey of hope
A persuasion of truth and happiness.

Yes, we're all chasing different goals and going in different directions but that's what makes life interesting.
Thought provoking

Maybe it's not so much about goals, but different values and ethics?

I do think we can be reading the same page but have an entirely different interpretation of the 'text'

Thanks, as always

Thank you for your constructive review. I agree we can read the same book but have a different interpretation.
My opinion is, my opinion(not a fact) I like blue someone else likes green and that is ok as long as we all agree that he has the right to see it that way. That is why we are a democratic country with freedom and justice for all. (At least it should be) Have a happy and safe day.
So deep

Often in life you feel that, due to such stunning, and often disturbing diversity of humanity, we really are not at all on the same page.

Your poem captures this feeling beautifully...

Really well done...

best wishes
