Reflections
By Buchan
03 July 2006
Looking into fire (or Space) we can see the reflections of life, giving us a time for thought.

Reflections of life , as I look into the flames
A red brick fireplace within a cosy old cottage
Haunting memory in my mind, touching my soul
Embers and flames encompassing every treasure

Life,it's changes,I see within each spark
Warmth with each burning log, licking flames
Your beauty glows, reflecting your black dress
Womanhood like the warmth of the burning fire

Peace set free as the night contains our souls
Holding you,a gentle feather on your soft face
Embracing you as a warm flame covering my body
May this moment never pass, this fire forever burn

I loved the way that you wrote this poem its so moving. The words that you use are just wonderful in the way that you put them together.
Where did you get your inspiration?

I love the idea of reflections of life.

Your poem captures images, and creates a swirling sensation that seems to freeze time.

The last line encapsulates the feeling that 'love' survives and carries on, the flame of love burns forever..

Beautiful words buchan. You are a real wordsmith par excellence.

best wishes
