I finally can let you go
By laya08

no more nothing..tomorrow isn't promised so I don't have time for him..I have to live my life..

It is time
I shall let this pass
Let my life move on
Wanting nothing else
Yet knowing your gone

I have made the choice
The choice all on my own
With this, and that
That and this I have grown
But still in the end
You and I are alone.

I can give you your space
I can let you relax
Let you understand
For this I know and for this
I demand

So, yes the end
This is where we part
Even though you're gone
And gone for good
There wont be a place
No place in my heart.

Hi Laya

You've captured that feeling of finality, of closure beautifully.

The verse:

So now, I finally can let you go
You’re not coming back
I have found my true feelings
You aren’t what I lack

says it all. 'You aren't what I lack' - Often we feel we need someone just because we don't feel whole until we have someone else by our side. This has nothing to do with love, but insecurity.

This poem screams of suddenly found inner confidence, inner strength to make a decision and see it through.

Very strong...well done

best wishes
