There are too Many Feelings…
By James
09 July 2006
At the time I was talking to Lauren when I came up with this poem. Its really deep, in my opinion, and sums up how I felt about her at the timd during the conversation. The Wednesday night mentioned in the poem was my year 11 Prom.

Thanks for reading and can't wait to see your reviews.

There are too many feelings, swimming around in my head,

Some I wish I didn’t think, and some I wish I hadn’t said,

Because I know what you’re thinking, he’s one weird kid,

The one who poured his heart out, the one who never did,

Anything to prove his love, the one who only spoke,

The one who’d always slip up, the one who’d always choke,

I really didn’t know what you wanted, I never really knew,

It was the picking out of the crowd – that’s where I found you,

So innocent, so cute, so alive,

From them my feelings grew, they thrived,

You woke me up; I never thought I’d see the day,

That I’d ever love a girl, or even feel this way,

So that was all well and good, I didn’t really have a clue,

That my heart would latch onto, and keep a hold of you,

I told you how I felt, but you were having none of it,

You were so proud; you didn’t take in a little bit,

So the battles over and done, but the war hasn’t even started,

You all I have, your all I want – I hope we’re never parted,

All that stuff I’ve said in the past, it means nothing now,

I’ve stepped up a gear, I won’t back down,

I wanted to tell you all this, that Wednesday night,

But I couldn’t find you; maybe I didn’t want to, just out of spite,

So I’m saying it now ‘I love you, I really do’,

You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me, yeah it’s all true.
