Brother Tom
By Beeman
28 April 2005

My brother has big ears

and snores all the time,

sometimes he gets in trouble

for sitting on the table,

for sticking his face

in other peoples business

and asking whens dinner,

whens lunch

-too many times.

My brother has fine whiskers

and big eyebrows,

he likes to wash

and hang around and watch

while other people work.

Sometimes,

he'l insist on going out

like he's offended,

like some-ones trod on his tail.

This is such a sweet little poem. Well observed and amusing.

Watch your punctuation though. You could do with a couple of apostrophes here and there.

people's

I would put a comma after lunch and no hyphen before too many times

he'll could be he will. In this case I think it would add a good emphasis

and I think you could get away with
like someone trod on his tail
