Making my way down a path
Don’t know if it’s the right way
Barely managing the pain
Trying to keep my head above the waves

I’m too scared to think of you
Think of who you were
And who you are now
I don’t want to fall down

The sea seems to part
Just for a split second
I hear the wind
The trees
I hear my breath

It’s a moment beyond the hurt
I remember which way to go
I’m nearly home
Please remember: “It’s a blessing in disguise”

But the second passes
And the pain kicks in
The doubts ignite
I’m back at the crossroads

Well Mike,

Shame it got no takers. Good effort, I thought. Punctuation of some sort might help. Nothing wrong with the writing. Indeed some thoughtful images.

Well done.

Slan!
