Blur

you said it's all a blur

you said you don't remember

and you couldn't even recall

events of five years past

without a length of clues

but how could you forget?

maybe that's the reason

for your never-ending success

because you don't remember

what happened before

there's nothing to tie you down

except I think you do remember

somewhere in your heart

but you chose to write over pencil

with a dark pen and forget

that there was ever anything underneath

I can't but I did for a while

now I try to read the pencil

and everyone else blurs my vision
