Aria in Motion

my favourite spot in the world is Dingle Co Kerry, to sit wait watch and sometimes swim with fungi the dolphing that has inspired so many people's lives.

From the expectation of mans heart, to the wildness of your spirit.

           An avalanche of desire drifts
           above and beneath the waves
           the squinting eyes
voices stilled, the air strained in hope.

           scanning eyes shaded
           binoculars affixed.

"There he is" a shout goes out,
           "where"?
            all look
            nothing,
how the mind plays tricks on those who wait.

And then the water breaks with a leap
the gasps, tears released as frustration drains.

The dolphin woven on our dreams
            displays his acrobatic agility
in the ocean of out lives.

             You jump and leap
             the perfect gymnast
             diving to depths unseen
             aria in motion,
your white belly glistens in the dying sun
             your ever present smile
             carries on the thermals
             to paint with joy
             the faces of the world.

             Your movement in dance
             touching the strings
             of mans demented heart,
             untying knots of long ago
             releases with a wave
             emotions from their cage.

             You jump and dive
             with joy of life
             teach to us your pleasure
that we may learn to be
             to listen

My smile grew as I visualised that dolphin.

Thank you.
