The Miscarriage

The goal here was to write a micro fiction piece in 50 words or less.

Here you are. Seven months early and raging. Blood-red and gripping that place which was meant to nurture you. Your silence. First cries now belong to my mouth and they are as desperate and savage as those of any newborn. There is no soft, milk-filled breast to soothe these wails.

did someone else set you the 50 word limit or was it a self-challenge 
you've got enough subject to do lots with this and i feel you would do it very well
