A slightly whimsical look at a friendship that teeters on the edge of something more.

There is something about the way you walk -
You have the sexiest behind I've ever seen.
I just cannot help wanting to sit and watch
Like I would eye a star on the big screen!

The way light glows like gold in your hair
A halo around your smile that's so luminous
Your gorgeous voice I can listen to for hours -
Sometimes I ring your voicemail for a dose!

The temptation to drown myself in your eyes
Those warm blue-green windows to your soul
Your touch on my skin that leaves a trail of fire....
Quick! Another drink before I commit a foul!

What about the range and depth of our conversation -
I think just about every subject has had a shake.
Your quick witted humour that keeps me enthralled
Even though I'm sometimes slow on the uptake!

You are the silver lining on the thunderclouds,
The sunshine bursting through after the rain,
The treasure I found at the end of my rainbow
When I slid down it like a rollercoaster train!

I know these things are all cliched and trite -
But each and every one of them is true.
I couldn't find any words in the dictionary
To express just how very much I love you!

I don't know much about poetry and to me this didn't seem to flow very well, the rhythm was a bit off. Perhaps would be better in blank verse? However as i said, i don't know very much so probably best not to listen.
I thought the content was great though! Really enjoyed it. 'I know these thing are cliched and trite' was a perfect opening to the last stanza.
Well written.

Thanks for that. The broken rhythm was actually intended though, trying to capture something of the " want to, but no we can't do this " kind of feeling. Glad you enjoyed it
excellent!
