When Choosing Your Man
By Queen
24 August 2006
Just a little fun

When choosing your man, look at his teeth,
Check under his hood, look underneath.

Make sure he can go the distance when you're in the mood,
Putting all your needs before his and even before food.

Does he come from sturdy stock, or is he weak in the knees,
Can he stand on his own two feet, while aiming to please.

On the bathroom throne does he have good aim,
Or is sprinkling the seat part of his fame?

Meet his mother that will be the telling tale,
You'll know if he's a girly man or all male.

Complicated you'll have to check them out,
Don't pick a mama's boy that cries and pouts.

I have passed on my knowledge for picking a man,
The details are critical so stick to your own plan.

And hear I was thinking it was brains and such that got me on the short list. No wonder I've been negrected all these years. Thank you Ms Queen, now I know.

I like the subject and the content, but some of the rhyme is kind of hard to read. I don't really know much about poetry, but reading some of this out loud is awkward.
Thanks for the read

some of the rhyme is kind of hard to read

That's because the closed couplets that make up the poem have no meter.

But as the poet said - just a little fun - and this was fun.
