Imagine - the missing verse
By Bagheera
25 August 2006
While tidying up in my files this evening I came across this, which I entered for a local radio competition some time ago. It didn't win (surprise, surprise!) but I was sure I'd posted it here as well .......

Imagine: the “missing verse”
with apologies to J. Lennon

Imagine all the people promoting global peace
Extending hands of friendship to everyone they meet
No frowns, just smiles of welcome along every street
(oh –ooooooooh)
Imagine no more violence, no crime, no grief, no war
The shortlived season of Goodwill might last for evermore
’Cause if we work together we can make it, that’s for sure  (oh – oooooooh)
            Yes I know, I’m a dreamer:
but that’s what I’d like to see
I love this town, and with all its faults
this is where I love to be

Big question is Bags, Did you post it to the Radio Station?
Which might explain why you didn't win. Cheer up, Paul. You would have got my vote for brass neck alone.

Nice read.

Slan!
