If I Were a Fish
By Ostara
05 May 2005
A little ditty to occupy some bored minds when one session fell short. So I wrote it down and added it to the pile :)

If I were a fish
I'd like to be
A tiny prawn
That lives in the sea

I wouldn't get caught
By the fisherman's net
I'd weave in and out
Nobody's banquet!

I'd swim all day long
In the wide open spaces
Avoiding the sharks
And the big fish that chases

I'd nibble on mollusks
And other such things
Algae and seaweed
A feast fit for kings

I would have friends
To swim alongside
The cod, the salmon
And my friend, the Ide

I would be happy
Happy as can be
If I were a fish
That lived in the sea.

good work - only line i didn't like was "nobodys banquet" -perhaps "making sure i'm not ate" (ate rhyming with bet and net)-scans and might be easier understood for a youngster
