Baby, You're A Little Swine

I'm getting quite into this poetry malarchy.

This is to be read as if from a woman, (guess there's still a bit of Gywnn in there somewhere) and to try and avoid any abuse, I've even put a soppy ending. Also, there's deliberatley no punctuation as 1) I don't know where to put it and 2) I'll get ribbed if I put it in the wrong place.

Baby, You're A Little Swine

Oh baby of mine, head bald as a coot
To think you were started, via a quick drunken root
When I hold your wee hand, it makes me so happy
Except when you've first had it stuffed down your nappy

I admit, since you came, free time has been sparse
All the feeding, and winding, and changing your arse
Waking up in the night, and those loud screaming fits
Not to mention the mess that you've made of my tits

My varicose veins, only started since you
Left my legs like a map of the M62
All the excess skin, now hanging round my tummy
Can't get out to the pub, for my darts and gin rummy

My jeans' now too small, 'cos I'm piling on weight
Long gone are they days I could say I'm size 8
But still, you're here, you're sweet and you're mine
Even if sometimes baby, you're a little swine

Priceless! Absolutely priceless. You have learnt so much from Mango the Master.

PS Where hsd your sonnet on Mang's return gone? I enjoyed that!

Slan!
TQ

Thanks.

I removed His dedication in the fear of a) being compared to Him (disaster!) and b) for fear of becoming inextricably linked with the Poetry Hospice.

That said, I cannot rationally explain this sudden impulse make things rhyme. I can only assume it's some kind of telekinesis on His part.

I love it - so honest!

What treatment are you getting for the PND?

I read this while suffering from PMT= Poetry Made Tedium; you damn near cured it. A pity more poems aren't like this

...I'm not big on reading poetry, but when I do read it I prefer stuff like this to the cryptic, elated stuff. Simple, witty and sharp. A few of the lines certainly had me chuckling out loud.

Keep up the great work and thanks for the read.

I have to agree with Gerard - this is absolutely priceless! It's been 14 years since I had the 'pleasure' of changing my son's arse (!), but but the way you described it brought back all the happy memories! :grin

In short - I love it! :grin

I always trip and struggle through the poetry section, but this I really enjoyed.

Spell it out for me and I'm there.
Keep them coming.

Phil.
Much obliged.

Well thanks for all the comments. Hopefully there will be more inspiration, once He pops his head round the door again.
