10 September 2006 |
I arose early one morn,
To witness the break of dawn,
The beautiful image of the sun being reborn,
As the pale blue sky was magnificently torn,
Into a thousand pieces As the intensity of the sun’s rays ripped through it:-
Orange, yellow, red and a deep, unassuming plum.

I really liked your observations, you seem to have a talent for painting pictures in my head. I was a bit confused with 'unassuming plum,' but this might only be me. Liked this a lot, All the best, Phil.

I liked the 'unassuming plum' its uniqueness complemented the poem and made it more special. A really lovely poem...well done, Brook. Well done! | ? Written by woody44 (777 comments posted) 10th September 2006 | I liked this Brook, you paint quite a vivid picture. I thought the `unassuming plum` was a little too deep for my humble brain- so was relieved to hear your reason for putting it there in the first place! happy writing woody | Written by ellipinnock (1795 comments posted) 12th September 2006 | Made me feel very peaceful You certainly paint a wonderful picture.
