Twin Towers Two

An alternative to platitudes in stained glass attitudes.

TWIN TOWERS- TWO

His knife slashes the face and breasts,
Of a harmless young stewardess,
Whose crime was to wish a nice day.
Is there anything else to say?

Silence, no the victims were given the chance to phone their loved one's to tell them that they were about to be massacred.

No, there really is nothing left to say, your brevity does you credit. I wish I had said less in a prvious post.
Well done

People will have a lot to think of by your poem Brian, and because it's today, - but they also think a lot on other days too. This is one day, but tomorrow is another day - and will we all think of the innocent who are killed tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow - or will they just be figures in the newspaper? Today's paper said: "62,111 dead. The toll of the war on terror so far . . . but experts say it could be three times higher" - and families have felt their own hearts ripped out by each one of those figures who represents a family member. The dead have gone, but those left have inner wounds that can never be healed. Don't make it worse for them by writing hatred. Hatred doesn't heal. Enough.

Brian, you were not preaching "hatred". I wasn't referring to anyone at all. It is just something I think we writers should try not to do. That's all. Good work Brian.

I find this almost more disturbing than the previous piece. Perhaps because the image is so simple yet so strong and so personal. To say so much in so few words, a talent indeed!

There is more to a poem than Stringing Metaphysical Agit-Prop Bullets points together on a seemingly random thread.

What sort of hero tortures a young woman to death?

there shouldve been a line about cabbage, or at least the smell of cabbage.

Possibly the first or the third.

Other than that it was fine.
