These moments I cherish

Comments greatly appreciated.

She runs towards him,

Her eyes dancing in the moonlight,

Her heart racing to the sound of her foot steps,

And her hair swaying with the wind.

He sees her coming,

His thoughts are flooded with happiness,

He outstretches his arms for her,

Nothing seems important anymore,

she is the only one he sees.

One big leap, and they are once again united,

He wraps his arms around her,

She soaks up every inch of his warmth,

For a moment they stand there,

Bathing in each others splendor.

She looks him deeply in the eyes,

Seeing everything he is,

She sees the world she has longed for,

She is so grateful.

No words are spoken,

As there is no need,

They smile at their shared accomplishment,

Holding each other close,

As if to never let go.

Their lips meet as they engage in a deep meaningful kiss,

His senses tingle,

He feels everything she is,

And everything she is going to be

There is a long pause of appreciation,

He hints towards where they must go,

And hand in hand they walk the long road,

Never will they let go,

Unbreakable connection...

A very romantic poem. It was like a scene from an old movie in slow motion! I liked the way that you broke everything down and analysed every feeling.
Those first moments are certainly the ones to cherish.
