From the west the armies came
And stumbled upon the fallen tree
The smith's hound was to blame
Who whished to pass should pay the fee

Many fighters were then slain
As they tried to fight the hound
They were stuck on Macha's plain
As they would not reach Emain's ground

The arrogant whelp was the first killed
Then came the elf-mound's son
Many others fell, however skilled
One by one, slaughtered by Sualtam's son

Ferdia challenged then the bear
They fought long and fierce
Setanta put him to the spear
Through his stomache did it pierce

Many a brave man died
In that violent campaign
Many a widow must have cried
And in the end all was in vain

Well, Old Mouse. Strict to the censures of the our taoiseach I should not afford rhyme to laud one who is not of the Gael [I presume]. But as you are alone in celebrating our Chieftains- one of the most legendary- I shall not I hope suffer decapitation for my impudence if I do so.

No, batty bat!

Setanta - isn't that a sports channel?

This rock is part of Ireland,
For its written in folklore,
Fionn MacCumhail took a sod of earth,
An threw it to the fore,
Then he tossed a pebble 'cross the sea,
Wherever did it fall?
Well the sod became the Isle of Man,
The pebble's called Rockall!

Saol fada chugat!

Oli.
