Vesuvius
By Talisker

Just a wee short piece about a certain kind of relationship.

Oli.

She's Vesuvius,

I am Pompeii.

I get nervous,

When she's grumpy.

Hear the rumbles?

She’s erupting!

My heart crumbles,

Hoping something.

Helps to douse,

Her molten lava.

Have another,

Glass of Cava?

You're lucky! I have to use whiskey to douse the flames.

A well developed metaphor. I liked it, but I'm a bloke.

All the best,

Phil.

Your first two lines sort of echo the title of that book (never read it) Women are from Venus, Men are from Mars. I wondered what it was that caught my attention and then I noticed. It sets the scene well.
