Fidget the midget
By umbugjug
16 May 2005

I wrote this on a post it note for my four year old son one saturday morning at five thirty.

It shows.

Fidget the midget

just couldn't sit still

He started on Monday

            And he's fidgeting still

He'd fidget in lessons.

He'd fidget at tea.

He'd even been fidgeting

at Grandmother Bee's.

His mother and father

            Were simply perplexed

They really were troubled.

            Where would he start next?

They sat him on cushions -

            He'd fidget a lot.

They tried him with ice-cream -

            He'd just fidget with spots.

Fidget the midget

just couldn't sit still

He was wriggling Tuesday

            And he's wriggling still

i liked your fidget who keeps wriggling. reminds me of one of my own children. but when i read it aloud, my tounge kept twisting. is it a tounge twister. don't know if it's just me, but you try saying it fast. still liked it though. :)

I loved this piece of work even though like the last reviewer I kept tripping over the words. My 5year old daughter read it with me and wanted to hear it again and again. A definate hit with her and me. :)
