There is no art to poetry
no right, no wrong, no clandestine song
so shut your face you silly moo
and let me write what I want to

There is an art to poetry.

There is no right, but there is wrong.

As for your last two lines, if you don't want reviewing, don't post.

Phil.

I feel like Van Gough although I don't paint of course, just write wonderful verse.
Oh, you're an artist all right...

Do you really think I couldn't spell his name? Only the thickest people constantly try to prove their intellect. Check-mate love. I'd take you on in a spelling contest anyway, especially as I am actually related to Hollywood producer Aaron Spelling.

Obviously, because you didn't! And I'm not your 'love'. Go away and play with your toys, and invest in a Spellmaster.

I joined GW thinking it was a place for writers to share ideas and enjoy each other's work, but it seems everyone's just being petty little bitches.
I'm so glad someone shares my view that poetry should be free and without boundaries, plus I really enjoy your rhymes and rhythms, really pleasing to read. Poetry is about expression and writing freely. I haven't read any of LynB's stuff yet, but if she's another of those who must denounce a writer because of a spelling error then I imagine it's more trad, safe and uninspired scrawlings.

I've just noticed this, and thought I would reply, as you are writing about me without knowing the facts. If you still post on here, man in the box, I don't denounce this writer because of a spelling error, it's because I am the silly moo referred to in his poem. As for my work, I have written three books, posted in Extended, and have had very favourable comments about them, and a professional writer suggested I should try and get them published.
