The Noo Noo Pixies
By william
27 September 2006
The Noo Noo pixies they may dance
Bob might even call it prance
But ne're a sight was seen in France
Or in the garden of Charles Dance.

The naughty sprites with breeches down
Run around the moonlit town
And once they went as far as this:
To claim the vicar was amiss.
He was accused of vile things
To elaborate would cause a sting.

Buxton, Taunton, many places
have seen the naughty pixies faces.
many guises have they used
for ridicule and cheap abuse
But when I'm old,  incontinent
I'll remember giggling in my tent.

Hmm...I'm not sure who Charles Dance is but perhaps the poem seems to me to have a celtic vibe. Is this transmogrification of traditional faerie tales to the modern. i'd like to know but suspect I'll remain fermented in ignorance.

I am a bit perturbed as I think that you understand the poem better than me and I wrote it.

I feel embarrased by your command of the uber-modern oeuvre. The reference to Charles Dance is obviously reminicent of his foray into the lower reaches of selfdom and evocative of Bergman's lightest touch. Did the poem wrench itself from your tortured soul or did you excrete it as would a tidal flatworm?

There's nothing wrong with my Ouvrage mate. I wrote it on the bog.
