This is just something that came to my mind after a class on Pound...

If one of my classmates would have said

the black bough thing,

I would have thought:

Ezra Pound(1885-1972) was an american vanguard poet and one of his most famous poems called "IN A STATION OF THE METRO " goes like this: 
 
The apparition of these faces in the crowd; 
Petals on a wet black bough.
