i was vaguely listening to our language teacher and suddenly, although, i can't exactly rmember (for the life of me) remember how it ended up that way -- maybe it was a discussion of the storm, or maybe just that my teacher liked music -- she played this hawaiian-sounding music to the lyrics of What a Wonderful World and Somewhere over the Rainbow by this German singer... he had a nice voice: it was smooth, and it sounded peaceful (of course, for the song, he's required to be) and he sounded old. i just sort of scribbled on my notebook. The wrinkles on your face showed your age, but certainly not the twinkle in your eye or the lively way you play in our games, or the way you sing, dance, or say goodbye. You're very dear to me, Grandpa, with you antics, quirks and jokes, the way you smile and laugh, or chase with bats the sodding blokes. But all that was were lost for me the day you left us all. We cried and mourned all day, I gladly let the tears fall. You were always there for me And I wish I was, too. The chances I let by, I just wish I still had you.
