Rest in Peace!

This is a little poem i wrote for my boyfreind, Mark's dad, Jack.

He unfortunutly died at 4am Wednesday morning and he will be terribly missed by all his family!

Me, Mark,  his wife, other son and his sister and his grandchildren.

REST IN PEACE!

You’ve been my strength in the day time,
You’ve been there in the night.
You’ve the one at my left hand side
and also at my right.

You were there for me all my life,
from day one up until now.
your life was like this one big stage,
and now you’ve taken your last big bow,

You’ve played every stage,
and every single part,
You won your crowds over
and you also won their hearts.

You were the best friend I ever had,
There in good times and in bad.
You were not only my mate,
you also were my dad!

I miss you so much it hurts me,
from my head down to me feet.
But my heart is warmed by the thought
that one day soon we will meet!

Rest in Peace Jack, we’ll miss you dreadfully.

You were a beloved son, father, brother and a very loving husband!

From Clare and Mark!

God Bless You ‘dad’

Clare, this is a lovely, heartfelt poem, and the love Mark felt for his dad really comes through. I must admit, I shed a tear when I read it, as it describes emotions I can fully identify with - I still miss my dad three years later.

Well done on a superb piece of work - let's see more of your poems and stories! You know how much I, and others love what you write! :)

Heartfelt. Emotion comes through in the writing.

Never easy, but I hope all is going as well as can be expected for you all.

All the best,

Phil.

How lovely that Jack had such a loving and caring family, and how kind that you should have written such a lovely piece of poetry in rembrance of him. Very well done.
