The Deil can tak yer Auld Alliance! An’ Gaul a doze o’ Scots defiance! T’was ay tae sleekit France’s gain , An’ whit help did the Scots git? Nane! Sae sup yer ain foul medicine! An’ watch ye ilka Scotsman grin, Frae lug tae lug the hail warld ower, An’ ilka Frenchman’s froggy glower! Viera, Thuram and Henri, Pit ilk tae the Scots sword wi glee. At Hampden Park the battle’s won, So now we’re set tae hae some fun! An’ yin thing mair tae ease yer pain, At least ye’ mak some fine champagne! Pop! Pop! Pop! Votre Santé! Oli ( /10/06)
