The Book of You

Ahh the heady joy of a decent crush....Any good tho'?

The Book Of You

Want to walk through fire
Want to feel the burn
Want to know your desires
To whom do I turn?

Want to hold you close
Can’t let you go
Want to see it all
Don’t tell me no

Open the book
Let me know
Want to read you
To feel your flow

Let me stroke your pages
Let me lick your spine
Let me devour your words
Let me give you mine

Give me a pen
I’ll add a few notes
Lets index you
From fears to hopes

Let’s start a chapter
A word or two
On how you feel
About me and you.

Feels like song lyrics to me...maybe pushes the metaphor too far? Slightly more complex treatment might make it more powerful. I did enjoy this though.

Enjoyed this too. Over working the metophor? Perhaps, but I thought it worked well.

Phil.
