No more pain it’s receding

And there I am pleading

For more drugs

More things to numb

This heart diseased love

I take a knife

I take a stab

Just below my shoulder

Left of my lung

Did I hit my target

Or miss my chance again?

You stare at me with vacant eyes

A dark expression underlies

Those whispered lullabies

Your name’s a misnomer — Angel

This is very emotional, certainly on target with that. Struck a chord, I wish you sweeter dreams.

Strong echoes of 'Comfortably Numb' by Pink Floyd.

I think I'll come back and read this.

By Pink Floyd. Great song...although I prefer the early Barrett stuff.

You do take the notion on in your own way though.

My fave line in the actual song is "my hands feel just like two balloons"...Brilliant.
