DEATH HAS BECOME JUST NUMBERS!

DEATH HAS BECOME JUST NUMBERS!

46 dead, 3300 affected, Delhi toll is worst

4 die of suspected dengue in 16 days

Scattered violence kills 25 in Iraq

54 killed in Lanka clashes

War, violence, calamities and nature

All are in a hurry

To outdo each other

As death surrounds all over

Newspapers and television

Sell these deaths with gusto

Shouting aloud of atrocities

With no remorse, whatsoever

Politicians talk of peace

While people are dying all over

It’s not their concern how many are dying

As long as they are in power

Readers flip through the newspapers

Audience browses through the news channels

To read and see respectively

46, 4, 25, 54 or else 157

Death! Has become so sensational

Death! Has become so commercial

Death! Has become so callous

Death! Do we really care?

Reading, viewing and experiencing

Deaths around the world

Hardly brings a tear in our eyes

Because death has just become a number today!

Soduko...

Soduko has become just numbers, Lotto has become just numbers...birth statistics are just numbers at the opposite end of the conveyer belt.

Death has always been numbered since before the Romans "Decimated" opponents, cromwell killed millions, so did atilla the hun, hitler, stalin...when did death become numbers? I fear it was way before your time Johnny boy. You can paint by numbers, but you can't write poetry that way.

Anyhow, in a spirit of rapprochementnull, I wish you many spiritual highs!
