Madonna to adopt a Budgie
By BrianRobertNeal
22 October 2006
If only

She can have my one, he's nothing but trouble, wandering round upsetting nice Australians, this Web Site's Papal Legate and any body with a non-negative IQ.

A warning to you all; if you must have an Alter-Ego,don't have one that's a Budgie- they're too flighty.

Incredible Sulk...

Dear me, Brian. What a dreary and persistently embittered failure you have become. I cannot believe this is the same person who wrote the ' Innit ' sketches. What makes it so much worse, is your habit of stalking the site to make silly, childish, veiled and baiting comments about myself and patterjack in the hope some will deem it funny. Calling us names from the shadows and when challenged, pretending to deny it. Grow up, Man! How old are you!? You are pathetic! If you have anything to say have the grace and courtesy to say it to our faces and not bleat from the shadows simply because we --and others-- choose not to review what you write. For myself, if you produced anything remotely worth my time I would do so. Yet know this, Mister.

Firstly I choose not to review you because the quality of you work is sometimes poor and you are such an old woman when it comes to anything less than praise. It just ain't worth your whinging. Moreover if I truely said what I think about your work and some of your ninnyish efforts at himour, Ed and Nascent would nail my balls to the Gates of Armagh.

Secondly; despite your self absorption and appetite for flattery, you are in my opinion very far from being amongt the best writers on this site. Usually competent, but frequently indifferent and increasingly excruciatingly purile, would be my judjement. Let me repeat what I said before. You are not in their class. Accept it . And move on. Before you make of yourself an even greater risible buffoon than you are already.

Thirdly; as Confucius observed, ' When there are big fish to fry, no point in wasting oil on a sprat '. If that sounds unkind it is because it is meant to be. Better that than you continue to think you can cattle along insulting myself and patterjack and reap no consequences.

As for the above. QED. A contribution to NotNews!!? I am put in mind of Mark Twain's apt aside ' It lacks eveything in abundance '. Sadly, Brian, at present, a little like you.

It gives me no pleasure to write this, Brian, or whatever you choose to call yourself. But you have brought this on yourself with your insufferable, mean spirited resentment of the talents of others. Moreover I learnt from a very early age not to stand by and watch myself and others abused, particularly by those too frightened to do so openly.

Gerard Connolly.
Oh Bless you

You were defending Siddie, he'll be delighted. I didn't know you were a member of the Budgie Fancy.

Mind you were quite happy to abuse a certain kindly elderly lady weren't you?

Wasn't it the Cork Beat Poet Hip O'Crit, who said, "Those who live in Glass houses shouldn't throw stones'.

I must confess the last para caught my eye and I've not read anything that went before.

Well done GC

I bet he couldn't handle the big words.

About time somebody give him a telling off, particularly someone as well read and learned as you.

So as we budgies say "Who's a Clever Boy"
Grand craic....

Dear, oh dear, oh dear, Brian.

Absolutely nobody has come to to your defence.

Now why could that be!?

Possibly because you are a self obsessed gormless twerp?

Yes. I think so. But never mind.

I have been having a word with other writers on the site. And we all of us feel bad that you are stung you are so sorely ignored by us objective reviewers, when you yourself consider that you are amongst the most outstanding exponents of English literature in the 21st Century and superior to us all. Fear nothing no more, Lovely Boy. You need no longer throw your toys out of the pram and rage since no one reviews what you write. In compensation we feel we could do no less than guarentee that every time you post something, one of us, if not all of us, will review it. Think of it, Brian. No need to gnash your teeth at the evident ability of other people!! We are offering you the opportunity to be trashed by GW'S Best every time you stick your paperweight head above the parapet.

I have determined upon myself to start.... Gran' Craic... Where shall I begin....Which piece would you like me to review......? Speak up.....Don't be shy.....

Slan!

Which doesn't mean that it is news. i.e. Off topic - not funny.

Not sure about the contretemps, so I'll steer well clear. It appears that the law of "what goes around" is standing up to empirical examination.

Where is it....!!??

Thanks Oli. Too true. Lovely Boy! Leave this amadhan to me!

And thanks also you, Bria/ sid/ or whatever you call yousel!. Great sport! I really do think it so bad not a single individual came forward to defend you. But as they say, silence speaks volumes.

And on that subject have you had a screw of the disgraceful poem that's going the rounds on the private messages? 'Fuckwit the Budgie!' Scurrulous in my opinion! Utterly scandalously scurrulous! The writer wants locking up!! Though, would you believe even I couldn't supress a laugh! Christ alone knows what Nascent would do if she caught the author. Not me I hasten to add. Mind, it seems to remind me of someone on this site with a monstrous ego and, sadly, rather lacking in talent. Any ideas? Answers on a postcard, please.

Anyhow back to business. I have promised to review you when next you post. So where is it!!?? You usually throw up every few days. Get on with it Man! Lets see what you can sick up....

Slan!

PS Simon Ward sends his regards.
Budgie?

I get what is meant by 'budgie' from the conversation, but... What does this have to do with helicopters or birds?

I'm not going to join in into a quarrel between people who all usually produce enjoyable writing, but as can be seen from the number of hits this post gets, I think people are watching this drama unfold very curiously...
