This is ostensibly a poem for children. But I am being sneaky: it is really a poem for adults masquerading as a poem for children. IT'S NOT FAIR!
My sister’s got an iPod That’s plugged in to her ears And everywhere she ever goes Eevveerryybbooddyy hears
My brother’s got a mobile He never once puts down And all he ever does is text As he walks through the town
My Mum has got a Walkman She listens to all day She sings aloud and snaps her fingers I’m ashamed to say
My Dad’s got a computer He’s sits at all day long And when I try and talk to him He tells me ‘Run along’
Somewhere I’ve got a Game boy (I can’t remember where) I’ll have to go outside to play It really isn’t fair
