Welsh Think-Tank Solves Global Problems
By givitsum
31 October 2006
I've been to see my father see. He's in hospital with his leg, isn't it.

The World is to be a much better place very soon, thanks to a group of Wrexham's cleverest people forming a think tank, and formulating solutions to fix all the problems currently affecting the World today. The Wales - based groups' spokesman Tyff Davies gave the gathered press an insight into just a few of the strategies generated.

"Well see the first and probably most important task is to solve Global Warming isn't it? What we're gonna do see is cut emmisions, get more people to use electric cars, drastically cut polution, and get someone to invent summat that can filter cows flatulalance, isn't it? Secondly, right, we'll fix Africa. The way forward is to give more aid, educate the African peoples, eliminate starvation and HIV and improve their economies. And finally, this terrorism thing has to go doesn't it? After much deliberation, we have decided the best way forward is to wipe all terrorists off the face of the earth."

Sadly for the assembled media, Mr. Davies lacked the time to elaborate further on specific details of how the Ozone and Africa plans were to be implemented. He did however, shed a little light on the terrorism issue, stating that the first phase of their blueprint for global enhancement would involve convincing the Chinese that Arabs taste like chicken.

I thought this was going to down a suicide-bombing time-share cottage road, but in the end it was delightfully tasteful, as usual. Lovely stuff, boyo.
Hmmm...

Athough original, I wouldn't exactly call it tasteful.
Of course this is the typical absurd kind of humour one might expect at this corner of the site, and your think-tank are of course a bunch of ficticious drunks, but that doesn't take away that they make two strange (and racist) assumptions, which I suspect are unfortunately shared by many Westerners...
Chicken Tikka Mahommed?

..actually that's Indian not Chinese, shows up the last time I had a takeaway.
I may be wrong but I bet that's the first time one of your posts had earned the phrase "delightfully tasteful," are you still in shock?
I'm sure you are right if the answer to world peace lies with anyone it must be with the Welsh. I hear they are sending 3 Battalions of Male Voice Choirs to Iraq as a start
Not tasteful but dangerously funny

Dreadfully distasteful, but funny for it. If you can't laugh....

I don't know what this says about me, but I really enjoyed the ending.

All the best,

Phil.
I can't speak!

Now why am I not surprised the word 'racist' would appear in a review? Jesus wept! Far be it from me to emulate Victor Meldrew, but I really don't believe it!!

Of course, it's just westerners that have racist elements. Non-whites absolutely LOVE westerners, LOVE 'EM! Not a racist amongst them, as is evident on the news almost everyday.

We need more of these green emoticons.

Cheers

There, there... I never said it wasn't funny. Just somewhat distasteful. Many Arabs and Chinese make similar jokes about Westerners. But I react in the same way to them.
Considering the quirks of other civilizations can be great fun, but some aspects are a little more sensitive than others.

But to use the emoticons:
I wasn't like: :upset or :eek
Rather like: :p :roll

It's just an opinion. (and I was in a bad mood, so that might have contributed as well).

Cheers!
Very Funny, Isn't it?

I think this was very racialistical about the Welsh. Everyone now knows the important part that noodle mining plays in the national economy of the UK.

"They are Wales' noodles, but the treasury gets all the benefit! Isn't it!"

Taff? I nearly died!

Brilliant!

Oli.
