A character suffering from amnesia.
(Based on an exercise generated by WriteThis - 27/05/2005 19:01:16)

I'll never forget what's her name
who comes from...... let me think,
she always wore a summer dress
of yellow or was it pink......... hmmm

Her sister's name was Mary
or maybe it was Ann,
and drove a Rover motor car,
no, I think it was a van.

Oh why can't I remember
my minds all in a whirl,
I'm stood at the urinals
and now realise.............. " I'M A GIRL"

A clever play on the words of the title and funny with it. Could maybe have done with another verse or two
Rhythm, rhythm, rhythm

I can't say that this immediately grabbed me but on second reading it really became a 'rhythm' thing - definately a performance poem!
