men. hmpf.a

picking up the pieces
whittleing them down to small strands
i slowly knot them tight
one to one and one to another
strong
hold yourself together
you yell
hold yourself together
and make a damn decision
undermining my peace
you envision me to be
puzzle pieces finally into places
you could kiss me a little easier
knowing i am who you wish to see
hold your damn hand to your own face
and tell me who you think you are
under what spotlight follows your name?
call me misdirectioned
but remember
i'm only certain of being completely
and passionately confused.

Sorry, but the last word says it for me.

sorry, but.. passionately confused? I'm afraid I don't understand.

Well to me it sounds like physical abuse, and if that's the case then I think you're brave for writing about it.
I could go into detail, but it's probably not a good idea. I would like to hear your on take on it though if you feel you can.

This piece is clearer for me, I have more of an idea of what you're talking about but again I think it might benefit from an objective rewrite-obviously with the caveat that if this is highly personal to you then objectivity goes out the window. In that case it's often better to look upon the writing process as cathartic and lay the poem to rest.
