Christmas Crooners

Had to do it.

Ever-popular crooner Julio Iglesias is planning a wonderful new album release that is sure to delight old and new fans alike, conveniently available just in time for Christmas.

‘Julio’s Contemporary Classics’ will be released next Monday and will feature Julio’s unique version of Marilyn Manson’s beloved ‘Dried Up Tied Up and Dead To The World’.  Julio is also joined by special guests Englebert Humperdinck and Daniel O’Donnell on the Blazin’ Squad hit ‘Flip Reverse’.  Listeners pre-ordering the album on iTunes will be treated to Julio’s personal acapella rendition of the Arctic Monkeys’ smash ‘I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor’.

In an interview promoting the album, Julio said “This is the album I’ve always wanted to make.  Yes, it may be different from my usual material but I know my fans will remain loyal to me.  I feel I can bring something truly original to these timelessly classic songs”.

Rumours that Iglesias has simply run out of insipid boy band trash to cover on his latest Christmas album were dismissed as mere speculation by his record company.

I can sympathise with your irritation at all the truly awful records that come out now and this was amusing if a little restrained. Why not go really over the top? It's the only way as the records themselves are so OTT. It was a great idea and with a bit more venom and humour could have been a great sketch
good effort though

BBS, you're absolutely right as usual. To tell you the truth I was more than a little nervous about posting in this section as everything is so funny and well written - but I thought I'd give it a try! Thanks again for your insightful comments.
